The road is a bit rough but very doable in a vehicle that has reasonable ground clearance. Beautiful site and worth a visit.

The Honanki Heritage Site is such a special place! We visited this site on a Pink Jeep Tour at 7am in the morning. We highly recommend the visiting in the morning and taking a Pink Jeep tour because it wasn't crowded and it was nice and cool in the morning. Pink Jeep Tours also gets early entry into the heritage site which opens at 9:30 am to the general public. Our tour guide, Jimbo, did an amazing job at teaching us all about the sinagua and hopi people that lived and made these petroglyphs and pictographs. It was a super easy hike from the parking lot. The road on the way to the heritage site is unpaved, so having an off road or 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended! Also, if it has rained in the area recently, mosquitoes will be super active.
Its truly amazing how we can be here one day and gone the next. Its amazing how without technology these people were able to build this ancient sacred ruin and once live here as a thriving community.
Worth the wait and $5 fee to take a short walk to the ruins and gaze upon the archeological site.
This was an amazing site. We took one of the Pink Jeep tours out here. The guide was awesome. Very personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. The ride out there was beautiful and the walking tour of the sight was unreal. Definitely worth the time and expense. We went in late September. It was 75 in Sedona when we left, but on the way back driving through the canyon it quickly dropped to 50° while the sun was setting...so plan ahead and bring a jacket if needed.
Great place to take a short hike to see Native American petroglyphs. Last few miles to the sight is unpaved and rough roadway but can be fine even if you don't have 4-wheel drive as long as you have SUV-like clearance. Once there, the hike is 3/4 mile long and not too hard. The trail takes you right along the base of the cliff where the dwelling and petroglyphs are. Jeep tours can also be taken if you prefer. Great National historical sight.
Great visit to some ancient ruins with Pink Jeep Tours. Short walk from the parking lot to the ruins. Interesting structures and petroglyphs. Well worth the trip.
Never noticed this on the map... Southern Sinagua Ruins that are mostly frequented by Pink Jeeps. Need a Park Pass or Red Rock Pass and no pets allowed, but very much worth the trip to see Cliff Dwellings and rock art.
